4S 14.8V LiPo Batteries

Where 1/8 scale and big-wing electric meet. 4S hard-case packs from Ace Power, NXE, Gens Ace and Traxxas run 1/8 buggies and trucks on a single pack or 4S-and-4S in series for 8S monsters; soft-case 4S from Spektrum Smart and Dualsky powers 1.5–2m sport and 3D aircraft and EDF jets.

Currents get serious at 4S — 60C packs and EC5/IC5 or XT90 connectors are the norm, and a 4S pack on a 3S ESC ends the ESC. The high-discharge Ultra 70 packs are the ones for competition-level brushless setups.
