Ballast comes in fine, medium and coarse grades — fine for N, medium for HO/OO, coarse for O and G — in gray, light gray, dark gray, brown, buff, cinder, iron ore and the coal grades, with blended mixes for weathered track. Talus is the broken rock for cuttings, embankments and creek beds, in fine, medium, coarse and extra-coarse in gray, brown, buff and natural, and the fine and coarse gravels suit roads and yards.
Fix ballast with Scenic Cement or Deluxe Materials Ballast Bond from Scenic Glues, Cements & Sprays. Foam track bed to lay under the track is on Track Accessories, Joiners & Buffers.
