A 4S high voltage LiPo — LiHV — pack for large models with serious power demands. 8000mAh at 15.2V nominal, rated 100C, on 10AWG leads with an XT90 connector fitted.

LiHV cells run at 3.8V nominal and charge to 4.35V, against 3.7V and 4.2V for a standard LiPo — more voltage at the motor and more usable energy from the same capacity. Your charger needs an HV or LiHV mode. Set to standard LiPo it will only take the pack to 4.2V per cell, leaving a good chunk of it unused.

8000mAh at 100C gives long run times and very high current without sagging under load. The 10AWG leads and XT90 plug are sized to match, so the wiring isn't the restriction.

Hard case construction protects the cells with a rigid shell, but won't flex into an awkward bay. At 137 x 46 x 48mm this is a tall pack as well as a long one — measure your battery compartment in all three dimensions before ordering. Height is the one that catches people out.

  • A balance charger with a LiHV or high voltage mode, suitable for 4S packs
  • A LiPo charging bag or fireproof container is strongly recommended

Safe use. Charge on a non-flammable surface and never leave a pack charging unattended. Don't discharge below 3.0V per cell, don't charge a pack that's puffed or damaged, and store at around 3.85V per cell if it will sit unused.
