The P9002W is the Australian-plug version of Hornby's standard wall transformer, supplying power to analogue train controllers including the R8250 Standard Train Controller and R7229 Analogue Train and Accessory Controller. It's the same unit Hornby supplies as the P9000 in the UK and P9001 in Europe, fitted with a two-pin Australian plug and rated for 220-240V mains.

A note on the labelling, since it causes confusion: the plate reads "AC ADAPTOR", which refers to the AC mains input. The output is 19V DC at 0.5A, centre-positive. If you're checking a replacement against this unit, those are the figures that matter.

Direct replacement for a lost or failed transformer, and the correct supply if you've bought a controller separately from a train set.

Fitment

Suits Hornby analogue controllers including the R8250 and R7229. Not for use with the Hornby P9100 15V supply applications or HM6000/HM7000 app-based systems, which use a different transformer. Check your controller's input rating against 19V DC 0.5A before ordering.
