The ARA311166 is Arrma's replacement centre (center) differential case set, supplied as a complete housing rebuild: aluminium (aluminum) case and cover, a fresh gasket, and all the screws needed to close it up. It fits across eight vehicles spanning the 223S range and the 4S platform, in 1/10 and 1/8 scale.

The centre diff splits drive between the front and rear axles, and its case is what holds the internal gears in mesh while containing the silicone fluid that controls how the diff behaves. That job depends on the sealing faces and bearing bores staying true. A case that has worn or distorted lets fluid weep past the gasket, and once the fluid level drops the diff's action changes — power splits differently under throttle and the handling shifts with it.

Because a leaking diff is easy to mistake for a fluid-fill problem, it's worth checking the case and gasket faces whenever you have the diff apart. Replacing the housing during a rebuild is cheap next to replacing gears that have run loose.
