The ARA311192 is Arrma's aluminium (aluminum) motor mount plate for the centre (center) differential, anodised red, fitting nine vehicles across the 223S and 4S platforms in 1/10 and 1/8 scale. It provides the mounting point that holds the motor in position relative to the centre diff, and its precision-manufactured screw holes are what keep gear mesh consistent once set.

The motor plate does more than hold the motor still. Because it locates the motor relative to the spur gear, any flex or distortion in the plate shows up as mesh that changes under load — the gears run tight at one point in the rotation and loose at another, which wears both spur and pinion faster than a correct mesh ever would. A bent plate after a heavy impact is worth replacing rather than straightening.

Aluminium also does something a composite plate can't: it draws heat away from the motor and spreads it across a larger surface, which helps on long runs and hard gearing.
