The same 12mm gauge serves an extraordinary spread of prototypes, per Peco's own list: it's H0m for the metre-gauge lines of Europe — most famously Switzerland's Rhätische Bahn, the classic Alpine modelling subject — and it covers the 3ft 6in networks of Japan, southern Africa, Norway and South America. In 4mm scale it's correct for the Irish and Isle of Man 3ft lines, and TT modellers can press it into service too. Few pieces of track earn their keep across so many continents.

A Complete System, Not Just Plain Line

The 12mm range is a proper Peco track system: matching medium-radius turnouts (SL-E1495/6 electrofrog), a short crossing for scissors formations, and dedicated accessories mean junctions and yards build to the same standard as the plain line. Code 75 rail height matches Peco's finescale standard, and standard Code 75 rail joiners fit — including the PL-81 power feed joiners for solder-free electrical drops.

Laying

Flexi curves by hand to any radius — a genuine advantage in narrow-gauge modelling, where the prototype's tight, flowing curves are half the character. Cut with a razor saw or track cutters, clean the ends before joining, and feed power little and often as the layout grows.
