A 1:24 scale diecast model of the MFP Pursuit Special — the last of the V8 Interceptors — in weathered matte black, from DDA Collectibles, with opening front doors.

This is the muddy release. DDA does the same casting clean, and they also do the yellow "first of the V8 Interceptors" MFP sedan, so check you're looking at the right one: this is the black coupe with rust-brown dust worked over the whole body, wheels and tyres included. The weathering is applied at the factory, not something you're expected to finish yourself.

The real car started as a 1973 XB Falcon GT Hardtop and left the Ford body in name only — Concorde nose cone, flared arches, side pipes, boat-tail rear spoiler and a supercharger standing proud of the bonnet. It is arguably the most recognisable Australian car ever built, and the weathered version is the one people actually remember: dust-caked, sun-faded and looking like it has been running on empty for years.

The casting carries the important details. Chrome blower and scoop through the bonnet, four side exhaust stacks behind each front wheel, black alloys wearing BFGoodrich Radial T/A tyres with raised white lettering, front air dam, roof and rear spoilers. The MFP crest sits on the front guard and the MFP plate on the rear bumper, with the blue light visible on the dash through the windscreen. Both front doors open onto a fully modelled interior with steering wheel, dash, seats, shifter and door cards.

Please note: the front doors open, the bonnet and boot do not. This is the Interceptor in its original configuration with weathering applied — it does not have the twin rear fuel tanks fitted to the later Road Warrior version.

At 1:24 the model measures around 20cm long.
