The ARA311168 is Arrma's steel centre (center) differential outdrive set, supplied as a matched pair — one front outdrive and one rear — which together replace both sides of a single centre diff. It fits eight vehicles across the 223S and 4S platforms in 1/10 and 1/8 scale.

The outdrives are the cups that carry drive out of the centre diff and into the front and rear driveshafts. Every throttle input passes through the point where the shaft ends sit in those cups, so they take repeated shock loading in both directions. Over time the cup slots wear open, and the symptom is slop — a clunk on throttle changes and a driveline that feels loose before anything actually breaks. Left long enough the cups round off entirely and the shaft ends stop driving.

Steel is the material worth having here. The composite outdrives fitted to some entry-level Arrma models are a known weak point, and cups that strip under power take the driveshaft ends with them.

Kraton and Outcast are the V2 models. Not to be confused with the diff outdrive insert (ARA311028), which is a moulded rubber component for the rear diff.
