The ARA-1083 is Arrma's replacement long wheelbase (LWB) composite chassis, supplied as a single moulded plate ready to transfer your existing running gear across. It's the factory-fitted item on the long wheelbase 223S and MEGA platforms listed below, so it restores the vehicle to original geometry rather than altering ride height or wheelbase the way an aftermarket conversion would.

Chassis damage is one of the more common outcomes of a hard landing or a solid hit to a rock or kerb, and a cracked or twisted plate throws out drivetrain alignment long before it fails outright. Replacing it is straightforward — the gearbox housings and lower suspension mounts are integrated into the moulding (molding), so there are no separate mounting brackets to source.
