The point that builds the first N gauge junction — diverging left. Peco's Setrack left-hand turnout curves away at No.1 radius — 228mm (9in) through 22.5°, matching the Setrack curve geometry exactly — in just 87mm of length, with rail joiners fitted and the over-centre spring giving positive finger-flick operation from day one. No levers, no wiring, no setup: lay it and switch it.

Self-Isolating: Wiring Done For You

Setrack turnouts use the Insulfrog dead-frog design, and it brings a genuinely useful trick: the point automatically isolates whichever road isn't selected. Park a locomotive in the siding, switch the point, and it sits dead while another runs the main — a two-train layout with no extra wiring at all. It's the simplicity that makes train-set expansion just work.

Growing the Layout

The right-hand mirror is the ST-5, and a pair together makes the classic passing loop — one of each hand, curves between, and the single line becomes a station. For remote operation later, the base accepts the PL-10 point motor family. Setrack N is fully compatible with Code 80 Streamline — same rail, same SL-310 joiners (SL-311 insulated for breaks) — with one boundary worth knowing: Code 55 shares the joiners but not the turnout geometry, so plan Code 55 formations with Code 55 points.
