A Spitfire with a remarkable story — Oxford Diecast's 1:72 scale tribute to TE565, a Castle Bromwich-built LF.Mk.IXe that flew with No.310 (Czech) Squadron from RAF Manston in 1945. Formed at Duxford in July 1940 as the first RAF squadron crewed by foreign pilots, 310 Squadron's Czechoslovak airmen claimed 37½ victories in the Battle of Britain alone and 57½ by war's end, including four V-1 intercepts.

TE565 itself went home with its pilots after the war, served the Czech Air Force as A-712, and survives today in Prague's National Technical Museum as one of the most original Spitfires in existence.

Oxford's diecast captures TE565's wartime colours in fine detail: dark sea grey and camouflage green over grey undersides, the distinctive sky tail band and spinner, yellow prop tips and leading edges, red gun patches, and the white NN-N codes with TE565 serial on the pale green fuselage band.
