The ARA311158 is Arrma's replacement slipper clutch spring in 2mm spring steel wire, with ground ends for flat, consistent seating. It fits unusually broadly — the entire 1/10 2WD range (Freedom Flyer, Fury, Gorgon, Quake and Vorteks) plus the 1/8 Infraction and Vendetta 4X4 street bash models.

The slipper spring sets the clamping pressure on the slipper clutch, which is the drivetrain's shock absorber. Under a hard launch or a landing that loads the wheels suddenly, the clutch slips instead of passing the full hit through to the gears and diffs. A spring that has sagged lets the clutch slip too readily — the car feels sluggish and the slipper heats up — while too much pressure removes the protection entirely and puts the load back into the drivetrain.

Springs lose tension gradually rather than failing outright, so a slipper that needs constant readjustment is usually telling you the spring is tired rather than the pads are worn. It's a cheap part to replace while the gearbox is already open.
