This tough steel 13T Mod1 Safe-D5 pinion gear is the perfect part to carry in your RC toolbox — and the fix for one of bashing's most annoying failures. Its 'D'-shaped bore keys directly onto the motor shaft's flat, so unlike a standard round-bore pinion, you don't lose drive and brakes if the set screw backs out under vibration. Strong, durable steel and a precision-machined wide tooth profile deliver smooth meshing and long-lasting performance in extreme RC conditions, with a supplied e-clip providing extra retention on the shaft.

Suits: Arrma BLX motors with 5mm D-profile shafts, including the Kraton, Outcast, Notorious, Talion, Typhon, Big Rock, Fireteam and Mojave (check your model's shaft — newer 8S vehicles use 8mm shafts and require the Safe-D8 series instead).
