Olive Grey No. 66 is one of those quietly indispensable shades in the Revell Email Color range — a muted grey-green matched to RAL 7010, the German standard for tarpaulins and equipment covers. It's the colour kit instructions reach for when a subject needs military drab without the warmth of olive drab proper: canvas tilts on truck beds, equipment stowage, weathered field gear, and modern German military hardware. When a Revell manual calls out "66", this is the tin it means.

Matched to RAL 7010

RAL 7010 sits in that useful middle ground between grey and green, which makes No. 66 a versatile mixer as well as a straight camouflage and detail colour. Like all Email Color shades (signal colours excepted), it can be intermixed freely with the rest of the range to shift tone warmer, cooler or lighter for scale effect and weathering variation.

Classic Enamel Formula

Email Color is Revell's synthetic resin enamel, proven over decades — it won't attack polystyrene, covers well even over light surfaces, and self-levels to the smooth matt finish enamel painters value on military subjects. It adheres to plastic, wood and metal without special preparation.

Brush or Airbrush

Use straight from the tinlet for brushing, or dilute with Revell Color Mix for spraying — the Color Mix also acts as a drying retarder to keep the paint workable in the airbrush. A further coat or second colour can be applied after 4–6 hours, with complete drying in 24 hours. Clean brushes with Revell Painta Clean and spray equipment with Revell Airbrush Clean.

Enamel, Not Acrylic

Note the chemistry: 32166 is the enamel version of this colour. If you prefer water-based acrylics, the same Olive Grey Matt is available as Aqua Color 36166.
