The rear shock tower is the mounting point that carries the upper end of both rear shocks and ties them into the chassis. It takes the full load of every landing and every impact that comes through the back of the car, which makes it one of the more common casualties of hard bashing — usually cracking at a mounting hole or shearing where it bolts to the chassis.

A damaged tower is worth replacing promptly rather than running on. Once a mounting hole elongates or a crack starts, rear damping goes vague and the shock geometry shifts, so the car handles differently before the part actually gives way. This is a direct replacement for the original moulded tower.

Fitment

Suits the MJX Hyper Go 16207, 16208, 16209 and 16210. Rear position only — the front shock tower is a separate part. Does not fit the 1/14 Hyper Go models such as the 14209 and 14210, which use different chassis parts.
