The ARA709067 is a pack of ten steel shims measuring 10.2mm inside diameter, 15mm outside diameter and 0.5mm thick, fitting eight models across the 1/10 and 1/8 4X4 ranges.

The three figures are inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness, in that order — the same convention Arrma uses across its shim range. Getting the right one matters, because Arrma stocks several shims at similar sizes and a 0.5mm shim where the build calls for 0.3mm will preload a bearing or bind a gear mesh rather than space it correctly.

Shims take up the small amounts of free play that build up in a drivetrain or suspension assembly. Where a bearing sits slightly proud, or a gear has enough end float to wander out of mesh, the correct shim removes the slop without clamping the assembly solid. They are also routinely lost during a rebuild — they are thin, flat, and land somewhere on the floor the moment a diff case comes apart, which is why Arrma bags them in tens.

Also referred to as shim rings or spacers. Note that Arrma lists shims and washers as separate ranges — if your manual calls for a washer, check the part number rather than substituting a shim of similar size.
