The SC36A-S is the .36 cu in (5.9cc) member of the family — a brilliant match for classic .40-size sport and trainer airframes where you want honest glow power with modern manners. It's Schnuerle ported with an ABC piston and chrome-plated liner for strong compression and easy starts, spins a tough single-billet crankshaft in twin ball bearings, and breathes through a twin-needle carburettor with the main mixture needle mounted safely at the rear of the engine — well away from the spinning propeller during adjustment. An efficient hemispherical combustion chamber and blue anodised prop driver finish it off, and with full spares availability, this is an engine you can run for decades.
