SC's AP09 Hornet is a beautifully engineered .09 cu in two-stroke glow engine, built with an aluminium piston running in a chrome-plated brass liner (ABC) for excellent compression, easy starting and a long service life. A twin ball-bearing supported crankshaft machined from a single tough billet, Schnuerle porting and a compact rear exhaust with directional dustbin muffler round out a specification well above its size class. Made with the utmost care and backed by full spares availability, it's designed to start easily, run smoothly and last a lifetime.

Versatility is the Hornet's party trick: it arrives with an easy-to-operate single-needle R/C carburettor fitted (with rearward-slanted main needle and adjustable throttle stop), and a control-line/free-flight venturi included in the box — so one engine covers small R/C sport models, vintage-style free flight, and control-line duties. Little wonder the AP09 has earned a loyal following in control-line combat circles worldwide.
