The 151071 is the genuine Maverick 50 tooth diecast spur gear for the 1/16 QBit MT brushed monster truck, cut to 0.6 module.

The spur gear takes drive from the motor pinion and passes it into the transmission. Together with the pinion it sets the truck's gearing — a larger spur or a smaller pinion gives more acceleration and less top speed, and the reverse gives more speed and less punch. It is also the gear most likely to show damage first, because it is larger, softer than the steel pinion meshing with it, and sits where grit thrown up from the track can get into the mesh.

Module describes tooth size, and both gears in a mesh must share it. At 0.6 module this spur will only run with a 0.6 module pinion — a pinion of a different module will not mesh correctly no matter how the mesh is set, and running a mismatched pair strips teeth quickly. Worth checking before fitting a replacement pinion from another source.

Diecast construction means the gear is cast to shape rather than machined or sintered, which suits the brushed QBit's power output. The QBit MT Flux and QBit MT Pro produce considerably more torque and use different gears accordingly.

Please note: this part fits the brushed QBit MT only. The QBit MT Flux uses part 151072 and the QBit MT Pro uses part 151073. Check your model before ordering.
