The Maverick Phantom XT is a tough, fast and genuinely beginner-friendly way into 1:10 scale RC. It arrives ready to run straight out of the box — truck, 2.4GHz transmitter, 7.2V NiMH battery and USB charger are all included. Add four AA batteries for the controller, find some open ground, and you're driving.

Built to Take a Beating

A molded tub chassis houses the drivetrain and electronics, with waterproof components so a puddle, wet grass or muddy track won't end your session. Flexible nylon suspension arms shrug off crashes, oil-filled shocks smooth out rough terrain, and the steering servo is protected by a heavy-duty spring-loaded servo saver. A gear cover keeps stones and debris away from the pinion and spur gears.

Real 4WD Performance

Power from the 550-size 12-turn brushed motor reaches all four wheels through a steel center driveshaft, front and rear gear differentials, steel axles and upgraded front universal-joint driveshafts. The waterproof 60A electronic speed controller delivers forward, brake and reverse, with enough punch to keep experienced drivers entertained while staying manageable for first-timers.
