Description:

Leichttraktor (with it. - "light tractor") - German light tank of the 1930s. Also known as Kleintraktor and VK31.
Designing a tank made Krupp and Rheinmetall-Borsig. Both companies were developing together, so it is not surprising that their prototypes were outwardly very similar. Having no experience in building tank chassis, German engineers from Rheinmetall decided to use the undercarriage from a tracked tractor. Krupp engineers did not trust the tractor chassis and started developing their own undercarriage. Interestingly, Rheinmetall was responsible for assembling the towers and installing weapons.
