The ARA-1624 is an unpainted clear polycarbonate (Lexan, polycarb) bodyshell for the 1/10 Senton 223S DSC, supplied pre-trimmed and drilled along with a Senton decal sheet and a pre-cut window mask sheet. Clear means exactly that — the shell arrives transparent and ready for you to paint in whatever scheme you like, rather than finished in a factory colour.

For anyone who wants a truck that doesn't look like every other Senton, this is the starting point. The pre-cut window masks save the fiddliest part of the job, and because the shell is already trimmed and drilled you can go straight to prep and paint without cutting a wheel arch or measuring a post hole. It's also the cheaper route back on the road after a shell gets destroyed, provided you're happy to spend an evening painting.

Polycarbonate bodies are painted from the inside, so the paint sits behind the plastic and is protected from stone chips and scrapes. That does mean you need paint formulated for polycarbonate — standard enamel and acrylic model paints crack and flake off a flexing Lexan shell.
