One receiver, every kind of model. The FTr12B is FlySky's full-size AFHDS 3 receiver — 12 channels, dual antennas and full telemetry in a 15-gram package — and because it speaks to both FlySky's surface and air radios, the same unit serves a crawler on Saturday and a glider on Sunday. FlySky's own compatibility list covers fixed wing, gliders, helicopters, delta wings and engineering vehicles; if it moves and runs AFHDS 3, this receives for it.

The Fitment That Matters: AFHDS 3 Only

This receiver binds to all AFHDS 3 transmitters and RF modules — the Paladin PL18, Noble NB4 and NB4 Lite, and the FRM302 module. It does not bind to FlySky's older AFHDS 2A radios (the FS-i6 family and similar): the protocols are different generations, and no setting bridges them. Check your transmitter's protocol before ordering — it's on the box and in the radio's RF settings.

Twelve Channels, Every Output Format

Twelve PWM channels cover full-house aircraft with headroom to spare, and the data port speaks PPM, i.BUS out and S.BUS for flight controllers and stabilisers — whatever your installation wants, the FTr12B outputs it. Dual antennas provide diversity for a robust link, and bidirectional telemetry brings receiver voltage and signal data back to the transmitter as standard. One note on channels: early units shipped with 11 active channels; a free firmware update (done from the transmitter via RX Update) unlocks the twelfth, and current stock ships with it.

Installation Notes Worth Following

FlySky's manual is specific and worth heeding: mount the receiver away from motors and ESCs, and keep the antennas at least 1cm clear of carbon fibre or metal — conductive materials shadow the signal. In a carbon fuselage or metal chassis, route the antenna tips into clear air. Two minutes of placement care buys a lifetime of solid link.
